Tonight, we broke out the gingerbread kits. Madeline the Sleigh, Claire the house. Last year we spent so much time getting the roof on our houses to stay up, that by the end we were out of icing and had "supports" for the roof line. This year, Matt had a thought...why don't we hot glue the gingerbread pieces together??? Let me tell you, it worked like a charm.
I must admit that in some way, I feel like I am cheating Christmas, but hey whatever works, right?

that is a really great idea, did you suffer any burns with the hot glue?
Nope, I am a pro w/ it. Probably one of the greatest inventions in modern history!
I do read your blog but haven't left you any comments yet...but I had to say something about the hot glue!
Dave will totally appreciate this. He has made many of his own Halloween costumes using hot glue guns. I'll be sure to tell him he's not the only "cheater" out there!

You can do ANYTHING w/ a hot glue gun!
Sure wish I had seen your pics before I started my gingerbread house project.
So I love the pic with Jack in the background saying, "hey...I want to help!" haha.
