1000 MILES AND 452 BATHROOM STOPS LATER....

Jack was in HEAVEN when we made our 1st stop somewhere in Iowa and this "MONSTER TRUCK" was at the resturant next door!

The girls getting ready for their American Girl adventure...loved it, could have spent many more hours there.

One of the best Zoo in the country!!!

Sue, the most complete T-Rex skeleton ever found is on display at the Field Museum.

3 ALREADY....

Hard to believe this little guy is 3 already! I remember the day I had my ultrasound and found out we were having a boy, two thoughts ran through my head. 1) Thank God, this means I don't have to have any more children and 2) At least there will always be someone in the house that will love me (unlike his 2 older sisters who will hate the very sight of me someday).
Happy, Happy Birthday to the sweetest, busiest, honeriest (not sure if that's a word), most loving little man in my life. Happy Birthday to my #1 fan :).

WINDING DOWN...

Madeline and her friends, freezing at Field Day!

Jack and Mrs. Ashley on his last day of "school". Next year he actually gets to go to preschool, that is if he decides he wants to be potty trained by September!

Claire and Wesley ready to head to their last day of preschool. I don't think kindergarten knows what's going to hit them with these 2. Thankfully, they are going to separate schools.

Claire and her blinged out "KINDERGARTEN ROCKS" tee.

It's seems that the end is in sight...2 done with school and 1 to go! I'm ready, at least in theory. I am going to enjoy not having to go anywhere or do anything for a few days anyway. I am sure it won't last long, the thought of all 3 here all day seems a little overwhelming!!!

I SURVIVED.....

Madeline, Lydia, Grayson, Jack and Claire all ready for bed (damn, I'm good)

Just a small portion of the wares available at the Junior League Next to New sale this year!

Madeline in her "Butterfly Fly" costume

Sis ready to "Catch the Moon"

My Girls!

Matt and his little ladies!

The busiest 5 days of my life!!! It started on Wednesday, watching 5 kids ( 3, 3 and under) while Matt and Barb picked up items for the Next to New sale. Then on to Thursday, set up for the sale. Continue you on to Friday, set up and sale...into Saturday, sale and recital dress rehearsal. Finally, Sunday @ 3, dance recital! So happy I survived, so grateful for my hubby who took 2 1/2 days off from work and took over my parenting duties. The result, a great sale and a proud momma!

NO MORE SNAGGLE....

OK, some may think that I am vain for having my daughters front tooth pulled, but seriously look at this profile. Her tooth stuck out in a 45 degree angle because her adult tooth was pushing it forward.
So off to the dentist we went to have 1 tooth pulled, by the end of the visit both front teeth were gone and the result....
is the cutest little 7 year old that I know!!!!

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES...

Notice the difference in Claire's height compared to Madeline's from last Easter to this Easter!!! Every time I see pictures of them together, I can see why people think they are TWINS.
In the last picture I tried to get a picture of all 3 of them and Jack literally walked in between his sisters, said "Cheese" and ran off as fast as he could....maybe next year.

I'M OLD....

I'm twice as old today as I was when I graduated from high school:) Getting old SUCKS about as much as losing that 18 year old body!!!

"I DON'T LIKE THIS BED..NO"

For awhile now, that's what I've heard every night when putting Jack to bed. I have been holding out because I thought I could use a BIG BOY bed as motivation to go "POTTY IN THE POTTY". Well, this week Jack had finally had enough of the crib and pretty much didn't sleep for 2 days straight...after all this little guy is 2 years 8 months and still sleeping in a crib with bumper pads!!!

So today, an era came to an end and we no longer, nor will we ever have a crib again in our house. Pretty liberating and sad all at the same time...I know Matt's happy to see it go since today marked the 11th time he has had to take down and/or reassemble a crib in 7 years!!!
Now I get to spend the night worrying if he is going to get out of his bed in the middle of the night and wonder down the stairs and break his legs or go into his sisters rooms and wake them up or turn on the water in the bathtub in his room,etc...

SOMETIMES THEY MAKE IT ALL WORTH IT....

So, I was in Dillon's the other day and they have 3 carts full of discounted flower that were about to expire, so I buy each girl a dozen roses for the sum total of $6.00!!! Knew that they would love them, but didn't imagine that I would get 2 roses back and this little letter attached...one of those moments when I realize that I AM doing a good job parenting and that they DO appreciate me!!!
